Patrón founder moves into gin
Founded by Daniel Barnes in 2009 and developed by Treaty Oak Distilling in Dripping Springs, near Austin, Waterloo is the first gin to be distilled in the state of Texas.

Betting On Texas Spirits, Patrón Founder Acquires Waterloo Gin
Created by Treaty Oak Distilling, one of the first craft distilleries in Texas, Waterloo Gin was launched in 2009, taking inspiration from Austin’s original name, Waterloo. The gin brand’s flagship No. 9 Gin is distilled with nine local botanicals including lavender, grapefruit, and pecan.
